We spent our Friday night in Ballymena at Shauna and Robert’s wedding reception. It was actually Robert who inspired this blog title! We were chatting to him again during the buffet, and asked was everything ok for him? He replied “Yeah, everything is great. Jonny is the inspiration for this blog title and pic! We were chatting to him after we arrived, and he was telling us about how his mates set him up after the speeches! They were just about to about to wrap up, and a policeman walked in to make an announcement. He proceeded to say that a delivery lorry had damaged two cars, and read out their model and registrations: one of them being Jonny’s prized Audi! Bernadine & Sam’s Wedding
We were in the Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena on Saturday, playing at Bernadine and Sam’s wedding. We’ve known Bernadene since shortly after we started the band, as we used to play in the Corner House Bar in Randalstown (where she’s from) a lot. We have met her a lot over the years, but (as we don’t play in bars much anymore) hadn’t seen her in four or five years. She was always great craic when we met her in the bar, so it was lovely for her and Sam to ask us to play at their wedding!
