We finally got back to work in July, after being off the road for nearly a year and a half! We apologise for being so quiet online, but unlike a lot of our colleagues, we never embraced online live performances, or even a continual social media presence during the Covid hiatus. Apologies for going radio silent! Covid has been an exceptionally challenging time for everybody, but especially for professional musicians. It may sound surprising, but not all musicians wanted to express themselves online during the pandemic! We thrive off the live environment, and honestly just feel uncomfortable doing live streams and talking about our boring day to day lives! Therefore, we thought that an update was well overdue, and that we should write a quick post to let you all know that we’re still here, and looking forward to playing at many more weddings!

Moving forward, we won’t be blogging about any of our weddings until Covid restrictions are lifted. This is a personal choice that we both agree on. We are aware that some people may find it strange for us not to publicise ourselves the way we used to: however we’re very aware of a lot of couples worrying about being judged on social media for not possibly conforming to strict Covid standards, so have made this decision based on our customers’ best interests, not ours! Also, as social distancing makes it impossible to take our normal end of night group photo, it leaves us with no personal visuals to put on a post anyway!

Finally, we won’t be inviting anyone to call and hear us at a wedding until Covid restrictions are lifted, as we don’t expect any couple to worry about guests that aren’t part of their extended bubbles. Our gig guide reflects these changes, and there will be no dates posted in the upcoming months until guidelines have changed. As always, we’d like to thank all of customers past, present and future for their business and support! It means so much to both of us, especially in these difficult times.
