We were back on the road again on Saturday night: so thanks to Brogan and Conor for inviting us along to play at their wedding reception.  With all the uncertainty about the Corona virus, it’s a worrying time for all of us; which brings a lot of worries for upcoming weddings.  Thankfully Brogan and Conor weren’t going to let the virus spoil their day, and the show definitely went on!

Brogan and Conor had chosen the fantastic Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown for their wedding reception.  It’s a great choice of a venue, and we didn’t complain as it’s only up the road from us! lol  They had chosen the Adair Suite, which has recently been refurbished: it looks fantastic!

We kicked things off with our version of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect for Brogan and Conor’s first dance; and then invited the bridal party on half way to join them.  As mentioned above, the Corona virus wasn’t stopping anybody, and these guys were out to party!  They filled the floor from the first song, and rarely left it all night!  We got through all the classics, and a few modern classics: including Belter, which always goes down a storm!  Things went up another notch when we hit the stage again at the end of the night, as we played a couple of Killers tunes, along with Mumford and a few other classics, which went down a bomb with the crowd! :)

Thanks again to Brogan and Conor for booking us to play at their wedding reception.  It was great to meet them both and hear all about their big day.  We’ll sign off by wishing them well on their honeymoon travels.  They were planning to go to either Tenerife or Majorca this week, but have put that on hold now with all the uncertainty over the Corona virus and possible flight cancellations.  Hopefully they’ll get away somewhere nice later in the year!
