A belated Merry Christmas everyone!  As we’re so organised, we forgot to wish you all a Merry Christmas before the big day!  Oops!  We had a lovely few days off, but were back out on the road again last night at Caoimhe and Mickey’s wedding – thanks to both of them for inviting us along! :)  They had also invited nearly 300 guests! (including evening guests)  As far as we’re aware, that was the venue at full capacity: so it definitely was a squeeze getting everyone in!

Caoimhe and Mickey had chosen the Bushtown Hotel in Coleraine for their wedding reception, and it was looking great!  Orla and the rest of the staff had everything running bang on time, and the place laid out perfectly for the massive crowd!

We kicked things off with Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You for Caoimhe and Mickey’s first dance, and then got the bridal party to join them on the dance floor half way through.  We sped things up after that, and even though Caoimhe was dancing flat out, we struggled to get a good crowd on the dance floor at the start.  However, we persevered as usual by continually changing things up, and half an hour or so later the floor was buzzing!  Things took a wee dip again after the buffet, but once the food settled the floor was full again until the end of the night! :)  Our version of Belter definitely seemed to be one of the biggest songs of the night!

Thanks again to Caoimhe and Mickey for booking us to play at their wedding reception.  It was great to meet them both, and it was great to see Caoimhe itching to get to the dance floor!  We’ll sign off by wishing them well on their honeymoon.  They’re going to take a few days to chill out down South, so hopefully they’ll get a bit of decent weather!  Have a great time guys!
