We finished our week in County Cavan on Saturday night, and our way down there was a massive and really bright moon in the sky!  So, as our blog titles are always really weird, we couldn’t resist going with a really cheesy one this time!  Please forgive us! lol

Ashleen and Brian had picked the amazing Cabra Castle for their wedding reception!  What a venue!  It’s a while since we last were there, and added some amazing landscaping (as you can see in the pic above), which is just beautiful!  The function room looked every bit as magical and festive as you would imagine for a December wedding, and was dressed to perfection to suit the crowd.  If you’re looking for for a venue that just oozes class and character, then this place should definitely be on your short list!

We kicked things off with our version of Ronan Keating’s This I Promise You for Ashlene and Brian’s first dance, and got the bridal party to join them halfway through.  Ashlene had requested some Christmas songs, so we started off with Fairytale in New York, which didn’t grab the crowd’s attention how we expected! :(  However, not to worry, they were a great dancing crowd, just not so much for Christmas songs (well, apart from our encore at the end of the night! lol).  We quickly changed gears and got them dancing, and the floor was buzzing right through until our last song.  The crowd ‘demanded’ one more song, so we asked Ashlene what she would like: she picked another Christmas tune.  We left them with a bit of Shaky, and this time the crowd loved it!

Thanks again to Ashlene and Brian for booking us to play at their wedding reception.  It was great to meet them both, and great to be back in Cabra Castle again!  Finally we’d like to wish them well on their honeymoon travels. They’re going to Mexico in March, which should be amazing!  Have a great time guys!
