We kicked our week off last night at Julie Ann and Mark’s wedding.  Our blog titles and pics are normally a bit weird, so that’s nothing new!  However, their choice of dessert inspired this post title!  They had chosen brandy baskets, which we haven’t seen in a long time, so we thought that would sort the blog title.  They were being sent to the tables just as we were loading in, and they looked tasty!

Julie Ann and Mark had picked the stunning Killyhevlin in Enniskillen for their wedding reception.  Fermanagh has plenty of great wedding venues, and this is definitely one of the best ones.  The place was looking great as usual, plus Aidan, Declan and the rest of the staff had everything running bang on time.

We kicked things off yet again with Bless The Broken Road for Julie Ann and Mark’s first dance.  After that we called the bridal party to the floor for Derek Ryan’s It’s Friday, and then opened the dance floor for all the guests to join the bridal party.  By the time we were half way through our third song the floor was full, and stayed pretty much that way all night!  What a GREAT crowd! :)  We’d loads of jiving early on, then mixed it up as usual with plenty of old school dance tunes in the disco, along with the usual cheesy singalongs.  It was a great start to our week, so thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome!

Thanks again to Julie Ann and Mark for booking us to play at their wedding reception.  It was great to catch up with them before we started, and hear all about their day.  We played at Mark’s sister Elaine’s wedding about six years ago, so it was great to catch up with her and her husband Andrew again too! :)  We’ll sign off by wishing Julie Ann and Mark safe travels on their honeymoon to Iceland!  It should be amazing, have a great time guys!
