We had our third and final wedding of the week on Saturday night, thanks to Colleen and Johnny for inviting us along.  Their choice of first dance inspired this blog title.  They had chosen Rascal Flatt’s brilliant ‘Bless the Broken Road’, so we thought we’d go a wee bit more predictable than normal with the blog title!

Colleen and Johnny had chosen the brilliant Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey for their wedding reception.  We knew we hadn’t been there in ages, and after checking we realised it’s over six years! The place is looking better than ever though, as it’s under new management who are obviously doing a great job!

As mentioned earlier Colleen and Johnny had picked Bless the Broken Road for their first dance.  So, we kicked things off with that, and invited the bridal party to join them half way through.  We opened the floor to everyone for our second song, and the floor filled! :)  No mean feat considering the dance floor in the Finn Suite is ENORMOUS!!  They really were a brilliant crowd to end the week with, and the dance floor was buzzing right through till 2am.  What a great way to finish our week! :)

Thanks again to Colleen and Johnny for booking us to play at their wedding reception.  It was great to meet them both, and hear how their day went.  We’ll sign off by wishing them well on their honeymoons!  They’re going down South for a few days, and then heading away somewhere more exotic next year.  Have a great time wherever you go guys!
