We were back on the road again last night, and Ruth and Zack’s choice of first dance inspired this blog title and pic.  They had picked Uncle Kracker’s beautiful song Smile, which was such a great choice!  However, the song title reminded of us of seeing the new Joker movie a few days ago, hence the unusual ‘smile’ pic above!

Ruth and Zack had chosen the fantastic Manor House Country Hotel for their wedding reception.  We used to play in there a lot, but it’s nearly a year since we last were there!  The place was looking great as usual, and everything was running pretty much on time when we arrived.  Plus, our two favourite bouncers Derek and Sam were working, and they always keep us in the craic and banter!

As mentioned we kicked things off with Uncle Kracker’s Smile, and got the bridal party to join Ruth and Zack about halfway through.  We sped things up after that with Paradise, which got us a few dancers, but not enough for our liking!  We switched it up a few times, and then Proud Mary worked it’s magic as usual! :)  That got things properly going, and we had plenty of dancers after that!   It was great to see the floor buzzing, even though there was the odd song here and there when it was quiet.  We also got to rock it up a bit for Zack’s Dad, and got less typical AC/DC and Thin Lizzy on for him and his mates!

Thanks again to Ruth and Zack for booking us to play at their wedding reception.  It was great to meet them both, and hear all about their day.  We’ll sign off by wishing them well on their amazing honeymoon!  They’re pulled out all the stops, and planned a trip of a lifetime!  Hawaii, Vegas and San Francisco – WOW!  Have a great time guys!
