Rachel and Adam inspired our usual weird blog title, as they currently live in Canada.  So, after googling some random facts about Canada, we found out there is a bar in Toronto called The Loose Moose!  So, as Rachel and Adam are living about 90 minutes from Toronto, that was a good enough blog title for us!

Rachel and Adam had picked the fantastic Corick House for their wedding reception: thanks to both of them for inviting us along to play a few tunes!  Cheryl and the rest of the staff had the place looking great, and things running smoothly as usual.

We were able to get setup as soon as we arrived.  As I had badly hurt my back the previous day, our good friend Bobby from Motion Media Productions was off, and came along to help Brendan lift our equipment in and set it up.  Cheers Bobby!  Rachel and Adam had picked Luke Combs’ fantastic Beautiful Crazy for their first dance, and then we got the bridal party to join them towards the end of the first song.  Rachel has asked us to play Ed Sheeran’s Perfect after that, so opened the dance floor and played our version of it.  That got us a few dancers, but not as many as we would have liked!

To be honest, we struggled for half and hour or so to get many dancers! :(  However, we never give up, and always change things up until we suss the crowd out.  We tried Rockin All Over The World: that kick started the night and got the craic going!  The floor quickly filled, which was great to see!  After that the crowd were up and down all night, so Status Quo definitely did the trick!

Thanks again to Rachel and Adam for booking us to play at their wedding.  it was great to meet them, and hear all about their time in Canada.  It sounds like a great place to live, and they seem to having a ball!  Their honeymoon is visiting their family and friends at home, so they’re staying here a while longer, and then will be heading back to Canada.  Safe travels guys!
