Is this one of our weirdest blog titles ever?  It’s definitely up there! lol  Andrea and Ethan got married in Barbados within the last couple of weeks.  After googling Barbados facts, we discovered that it was named after the island’s native bearded fig trees!  Os Barbados means ‘the bearded’ in Spanish: everyday’s a school day! lol

As mentioned, Andrea and Ethan got married in Barbados.  However, they picked the Armagh City Hotel for their wedding party, and the place was laid out perfectly for the size of the crowd.  Andrea and Ethan weren’t due to arrive until 8:30, so we were able to get straight in and get setup with no waiting about! :)

We kicked things off with Callum Scott and Leona Lewis’ beautiful You Are The Reason for Andrea and Ethan’s first dance.  We opened the floor to everyone half way through, and got a few dancers.  However, Andrea asked us to play the Galway Girl for the second song, and it filled the dance floor!  Sometimes wedding parties take a bit longer to get going, as the guests have literally just arrived when we are starting.  Not so with this crowd, they kept the floor buzzing all night, which was great to see!

Thanks again to Andrea and Ethan for booking us to play at their wedding party.  It was great to meet them both, and we were so glad that the crowd helped us make it a memorable night!  We can wish them well on their honeymoon, as they’re already been to Barbados!  However, they’ll get away somewhere else nice soon!
