Back on the road on Saturday evening, and I couldn’t help but think I recognised our bride when we arrived at the venue.  I asked Brendan if he recognised her, but he didn’t!   After a while the penny dropped, as I realised she was one of the Vets in the practice that I take my dog Hendrix to!  I saw my regular vet Joanne on the dance floor, and then realised we had a load of off duty vets in with us!

Helen and Seamus had picked the fantastic Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown for their wedding reception.  They had a large crowd invited, so had chosen the bigger Tyrone Suite which suited the size of the crowd perfectly.  Great for us too, as it’s only a few miles down the road! lol

We kicked things off with The Script’s Never Seen Anything Quite Like You for Helen and Seamus’ first dance, and then invited the bridal party to join them half way through.  We sped things up after that with Proud Mary for a change, which was a good call, as it brought loads of dancers.  We kept the floor buzzing for quite a while, but inevitably the bar started calling, and we lost a few.  However, we weren’t long getting them back, and got through all of our requests for the rest of the night: everything from Derek Ryan to Drake!

Thanks again to Helen and Seamus for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet Seamus, and also great to see Helen outside of work for a change!  They’re going on a Mediteranean Cruise next month for their honeymoon, which should be great.  Have a fantastic time guys!
