Nadine & Steven’s Wedding

We were back on the road again last night, and had three guest singers up with us!  We had Steven’s Dad Jeffrey up to sing a great version of Stop the World, and also had one of the bridesmaids Crystal up to sing a stormin’ version of Mustang Sally!  However, we had another guy up (we didn’t get his name) to sing some of the Gambler: he wasn’t exactly sober, so points went to him for the most ‘entertaining’ version! lol  Anyway, good on him, as The Gambler lyrics inspired this blog title and pic.

Nadine and Steven had picked the fantastic Burrendale Hotel for their reception.  It’s definitely a great choice, as it’s always looking great and punctual.  The staff were just clearing the room when we arrived, so we didn’t have to wait long to get to the stage! :)

We kicked things off with Calum Scott and Leona Lewis’ brilliant You Are The Reason for Nadine and Steven’s first dance; and then invited the bridal party on to join them towards the end of the song.  Nadine had asked us to kick things off with Shut Up and Dance, which we happily did.  It was a great choice, as the floor instantly filled! :)  What a lively crowd!  The floor was buzzing the whole time, and it was a shame that we had to end at the buffet.  However, we handed the reigns over to DJ Greener: we’ve met him a few times, and he’s a great guy, so we’re sure had the place bouncing when we left!

Thanks again to Nadine and Steven for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet them both, and lovely to hear how happy they were when we were chatting to them after we finished.  We’ll sign off by wishing them well on the their bucket list honeymoon!  They’re going to the stunning Bali, which looks amazing: have a great time guys!
