We were playing at Rachel and Graham’s wedding on Saturday night, and they had invited a couple of VIP guests!  We had two high profile politicians in attendance, however we won’t name them, as we’re guessing they would rather us respect their privacy.  It sorted our blog title for us though, so all’s good!

Rachel and Graham had picked the beautiful Tullylagan Country House Hotel for their wedding reception: so thanks to both of them for inviting us along.  It was nice to only have to drive a few miles up the road for a change!  Crystal and the rest of the staff had the place looking great, and they weren’t long clearing space for us once the meal was finished.

We kicked things off with Will Anderson’s beautiful Take My Hand for Rachel and Graham’s first dance.  We didn’t even have to invite the bridal party to join them half way, as they obviously knew their cue, and made their way to the floor after the first chorus!  We sped things up after that, and the dance floor filled!  We could tell you about all the songs that we played, and all the dance tunes that they loved in the disco.  However, the simple fact is that the dance floor filled, and never emptied until our very last song after we hit the stage again at the end of the night!  What a great crowd, they were definitely out for a party!

Thanks again to Rachel and Graham for booking us to play at their wedding – what a great way to spend our Saturday night!  It was lovely to chat to them too, and hear about how well their day went.  Finally, we’d like to wish them well on their honeymoon.  They’re going to Vegas next month, which should be amazing!  Have a great time guys!
