Emma & Jonny’s Wedding
We finished our week in the brilliant Rosspark Hotel in Kells at Emma and Jonny’s wedding. Thanks to both of them for inviting us along! 🙂 It’s about two and a half years since we last were there: it looks better than ever, as the function room has had a makeover! Angus and the rest of the staff had the place dressed perfectly, and weren’t long making space for us to setup once the meal was finished.
Emma inspired this blog title and pic, as she changed into a cool pair of flip flops for dancing! They looked much nicer than the ones above, but that’s the best royalty pic that we could find!
We kicked things off with our version of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect for Emma and Jonny’s first dance. We followed that with our version of Heartland’s I Loved Her First for Emma’s dance with her Dad Paul. After that we opened the floor with a few jives, but didn’t get that many dancers. So, we quickly changed the pace and brought things up to date: then the floor filled! 🙂 They were a lively bunch for the rest of the night, and we got through everything from George Ezra to The Proclaimers to Scooter (especially for Emma!). Thankfully they all stayed on the floor when we hit the stage again at 12:30, with Mr Brightside being one of the many highlights of the night! 🙂
Thanks again to Emma and Jonny for booking us to play at their wedding: it was a great way to end our week! It was lovely to meet them both too: they both were full of the chat, and were having a great day. We’ll sign off by wishing them well on their honeymoon. They’re going to Mexico, which should be fantastic. Have a great time guys!
