We were back in the Tullylagan Hotel in Cookstown last night, so nice to have another local wedding!  Thanks to Katie and Christopher for inviting us along to entertain themselves and their wedding guests.  The hotel staff had things well under control, as the room was laid out perfectly to suit the crowd, so things were off to a good start!

Before we get onto what the first dance was, we were a bit surprised later in the night to see the guests playing football with one of the kids teddies on the dance floor! lol  Once we heard somebody shout ‘Goal!’ that was the blog title sorted!

We kicked things off with our version of Snow Patrol’s Run for Katie and Christopher’s first dance.  It is a LONG time since we played that, so it was great to go over it again and remind ourselves how a great a song it is!  We got the bridal party to join them half way through, and then opened the dance floor to everyone after that.  We quickly got a few dancers, but the smoking area and the bar called louder than we did shortly after: so they were up and down all night!  It was an intimate crowd, so we didn’t have as many dancers as normal: however the craic was great, and we had loads of requests!  Katie and Christopher told us they had a great night, so that was all we needed to hear! :)

Thanks again to Katie and Christopher for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was lovely to meet them and their two kids, plus great for me to talk about web design with Katie, as she’s a fellow techie! :)  They’re off to the Donegal coast for a few days to chill out after all the wedding planning, which is actually where we’re playing at tonight!  Hopefully the weather picks up guys – have a great time!
