Niamh & Sean’s Wedding

We finished our week in the beautiful Riverdale Barn in Aghagallon on Saturday night.  Thanks to Niamh and Sean for inviting us along to play a few tunes at their big day!  The Barn is a really cool venue, and definitely very different from the norm.  So, if you’re looking for a quirky, but scenic wedding venue, then maybe you should put this place on your shortlist!

Check us out with another ‘normal’ blog title and pic!  Niamh and Sean inspired this one, as they had chosen Nat King Cole’s fantastic song L-O-V-E for their first dance!  What a great choice, and definitely a bit cooler than the normal slow paced tune!  They had also learned a fantastic dance routine to go with it, which they nailed!

So, as mentioned, we kicked things off with L-O-V-E for Niamh and Sean’s first dance.  Niamh picked an equally cool father / daughter dance (Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely), so we invited her Dad Jerome to join her on the dance floor.   After that we opened the floor to everyone, and played our version George Ezra’s Paradise (as requested by Niamh): it was a great choice, as it filled the dance floor! 🙂  The floor was rarely empty after that, as the crowd were in the party mood and definitely up for dancing.  We had a slight change of pace for the Scottish guests during the disco, as Niamh had asked us to play a couple of Gay Gordons songs for them: including Donald Where’s Yer Troosers, which was definitely a first for us! lol

Thanks again to Niamh and Sean for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet them both, and hear all about their day.  It was also great to see two other couples again that had previously booked us for their weddings!  We’ll sign off by wishing them well on their honeymoon travels to Rome!  It’s looks stunning: have a great time guys!
