We started our week in the fantastic Greenvale Hotel and wedding venue in Cookstown last night.  Thanks to Sheena and Gerry for inviting us along to join in the celebrations.  As usual, Mickey and his staff had the place looking fantastic, and the buffet was as tasty as ever! (one of the best buffets out of all the venues we play in, in our opinion!)

We kicked things off with Brett Young’s ‘In case you didn’t know’ for Sheena and Gerry’s first dance.  We gave them the limelight for the full song, and then (at Sheena and Gerry’s request) invited the bridal party and parents up for a jive for the second song, and opened the floor to everyone half way through.

The jivers left us after a while, so we changed the pace and tried Paradise, which got us loads of dancers!  We kept them for a while, and then had to change tactics again to get them back.  Proud Mary and a few rock n roll tunes did the trick, and got the craic going again.  We finished up just before the buffet, and ‘handed the reins’ over to DJ Marty to look after things for the rest of the night.  So, weird as our blog titles seem, there’s always some connection to the wedding! lol

Thanks again to Sheena and Gerry for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet them both, and equally great to hear about their honeymoon plans!  They’re going to Tenerife, which should be fantastic!  Have a great time guys!
