Niamh & Sean’s Wedding
We were back up in Letterkenny for Niamh and Sean’s wedding on Saturday – thanks to both of them for inviting us along. They chose the Radisson Blu hotel for their reception venue, which was definitely a great choice! It was only our second time in the place, but already it’s our favourite Letterkenny wedding venue! It has really cool modern decor, a great sized function room, and really friendly staff – sure what’s not to like?!
Our good friend Francy from Byrne Video Productions was looking after the video duties for the day. He was doing his usual great job, and in great form after England beating Sweden in the World Cup quarter final! lol. We always highly recommend him, so if you’re looking for someone to video your wedding, then check out his website – byrnevideoproductions.com
So, our weird blog titles continue! Niamh and Sean inspired this one, as they chose John Mayer’s amazing cover of Tom Petty’s Freefallin’ for their first dance! If you haven’t heard it, then check out his live album ‘Where the light is’ to hear his brilliant live version!
After the first dance, we then invited the bridal party to join Niamh and Sean to Westlife’s When You’re Looking Like That. We opened the floor to everyone for the next song, and thought we would try Shut Up and Dance, which quickly filled the floor. We brought it right to date after that, and played George Ezra’s Paradise – our first time playing it, but it didn’t go too bad! We had a busy floor all night, and got loads of requests in – everything from Hit the Diff to Bits & Pieces!
Thanks again to Niamh and Sean for booking us to play at their wedding. It was a great way to start our run of July weddings, and lovely to meet them both. Finally, we’d like to sign off by wishing them well on their unbelievable honeymoon! To say we’re jealous is an understatement! lol They’re going to Vegas, then on to Nashville, Memphis, Jackson and New Orleans! WOW, that just sounds like an amazing trip of a lifetime – have a great time guys!
