Susanne & Stephen’s Wedding
We were back in the fabulous Corick House yet again last night! Thanks to Susanne and Stephen for inviting us along to play a few tunes! The staff were just clearing space for us when we arrived, so it was great to see everything running on schedule! 🙂 Of course the Orchid Suite was looking fantastic as usual, and the room was perfectly laid out to suit the crowd!
So, yet another weird and wonderful blog title! We had a bit of blast from the past during the disco, as we were asked to play Neil Diamond’s Forever in Blue Jeans! What a great song! It’s ages since we heard it, so thought it would make a good blog title!
We kicked things off with a fantastic acoustic version of of Alicia Keys’ No One for Susanne and Stephen’s first dance! We had never heard the acoustic version before, and it is just brilliant – great choice guys! We got the bridal party to join them half way through, and then opened the floor for the next song. The next tune (Walk of Life) was a special request for the lads in the bridal party, and it was great to see so many people join the bridal party on the dance floor. We were lucky to have yet another great crowd, and the floor rarely emptied all night! 🙂 We finished with Maggie May, which was a special request for Susanne, and then squeezed in Wonderwall for Stephen as an encore!
Thanks again to Susanne and Stephen for booking us to play at their wedding. It was great to meet them both, and hear all about their early start and the upcoming honeymoon plans! Speaking of which, they’re sure to have an fantastic time, as they’re going to the stunning Thailand! Sounds amazing, have a great time guys!
