Nina & Jamie’s Wedding

Monday was yet another blazing hot day, and we made our way to the Killyhevlin to play at Nina and Jamie’s wedding.  It’s not that long since we were last there, but the weather wasn’t like that the last time!  The view of Lough Erne from the function room is stunning, but even more so on a day like that!  The room was looking great too, and it was nice to have the patio doors all open to let in a bit of fresh air!

So, as we literally only had gotten back from France at lunchtime on Monday, and clocked up around 1,600 miles on the van, we thought we might as well use that as a blog title!  We got back in Cookstown, chilled for an hour, got showered and some dinner, then we were back on the road again!  Hey, we’re not complaining!  It’s amazing to have so many wonderful couples book us to be a part of their big day!

We kicked things off by playing Unbreakable by Framing Hanley for Nina and Jamie’s first dance.  They had a learnt a dance routine to the song, and it was brilliant!  Jamie even pulled off spinning Nina in mid air a few times!  We don’t know anything about dancing, but it looked pretty impressive to us!  We sped things up after that, but the good weather hindered us for a while, as it was hard to get a good crowd on the dance floor 🙁  However, we always persevere and continually ask for requests, and got the dance floor filled after the sun went down! 🙂

Thanks again to Nina and Jamie for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet them both, and find all about their career plans!  Nina is studying fine art, and Jamie is studying chemical engineering, so we don’t think they’re going to end up working in Tesco! lol  Finally, we’d like to sign off by wishing them well on their honeymoon.  They’re pulling out all the stops, and going on a Caribbean Cruise!  Should be amazing, have a great time guys, and good luck with your careers!
