Lindsay & Darren’s Wedding

We were back in the stunning Redcastle Hotel in Donegal again last night – it’s only two weeks since we were last there!  We were playing at Lindsay and Darren’s wedding reception, so thanks to both of them for inviting us along!  They really hit it lucky with the weather, as it the sun was blazing, and you could really appreciate the beautiful views from the venue!

Our good friend Francy from Byrne Video Productions was looking after the video duties for the day.  He was actually there with us two weeks ago as well!  He was doing his usual great job, and all excited for the football tomorrow – he’s a big Liverpool supporter, but don’t hold that against him! lol.  We always highly recommend him, so if you’re looking for someone to video your wedding, then check out his website – byrnevideoproductions.com

For a change, we went with an obvious blog title! lol  Sure why not?  It was such a lovely day, and the view was amazing, so we thought we’d not be predictable by being predictable! lol

We kicked things off with Ed Sheeran’s brilliant ‘Perfect’ for Lindsay and Darren’s first dance.  We then got the bridal party on the floor for Bryan Adam’s Everything I Do – we love playing the full album version of it, but we stopped at the single ending, as the album version would be a bit long for a bridal party dance! lol  We actually got an amazing compliment from Lindsay at the end of the night, as she said it sounded as good as the original song! 🙂

After that, we sped things up, and threw in a few wedding classics like Footloose, Galway Girl and Proud Mary, which got us a good few dancers.  However, it was the rock n roll tunes that really livened things up, and we even threw in Tigerfeet (which we haven’t played in ages), and it went down a storm!  Thankfully the floor kept buzzing until the last song, and we even had a request to play our old favourite Honky Tonk Women when we hit the stage again at the end of the night!

Thanks again to Lindsay and Darren for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet them both and hear about their honeymoon plans.  Speaking of which, they’re going to the beautiful Albufeira in Portugal.  Should be amazing, have a great time guys!
