We were close to home yet again last night – twice in one week, we’re getting spoiled!  Thanks to Orlagh and Eoghan for inviting us along to their wedding reception in the Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown.  We were playing to a capacity crowd in the Tyrone Suite, and James and rest of the staff had everything running like clockwork!  The room was looking great too, and laid out perfectly to suit the size of the crowd.

Orlagh and Eoghan inspired this blog title with their choice of first dance!  They chose Elvis’ ‘I can’t help falling in love’, which is an absolutely beautiful song – old school, but great!

After the first dance, we got the bridal party to join them for a Boyzone classic.  It didn’t take long to fill the floor, as the crowd had already started to join the bridal party during their song!  Orlagh had asked us to play a few jives, so we started with the Galway Girl and the crowd just kept filling the floor!  To be honest they were such a great dancing crowd, it didn’t seem to matter what we played, as they danced to everything we threw at them.  We got the jives in the jivers, the rock in the for rockers, and everything in between!  The place was bouncing all night, and (as you can see in the photo below) there was still a massive crowd left for the last song of the night!

Thanks again to Orlagh and Eoghan for booking us to play at their wedding.  It was great to meet them both, and hear all about their honeymoon plans.  They’re going to Mexico for ten days, which should be amazing!  Have a great time guys!
