Laura & Michael’s Wedding

We were back in the Tullylagan Hotel in Cookstown on Saturday night, which was a nice change as it’s pretty close to home! 🙂  Thanks to Laura and Michael for inviting us along to play at few tunes that their wedding.  As usual, the Tullylagan was looking great, and the room was laid out perfectly to suit the crowd.  Olga and the rest of the staff were on the ball as expected!

This maybe qualifies for one of our weirdest blog titles yet! (and there’s been some weird ones! lol).  Laura and Michael are both from Liverpool, plus there were a load of guests in from Liverpool too.  So, we couldn’t resist a bad attempt at some scouser banter!  Please forgive us guys, we know it’s crap, but it’s the best we could do! lol

We always enjoy the English crowds, and Saturday night was no exception.  They’re generally really lively, and enable us to play some songs that we don’t play to often, which is great!  After Laura and Michael’s great choice of first dance (The Cranberries’ Dreams), the crowd filled the floor, and rarely left it all night! 🙂  That’s pretty much all there is too say!  We love playing the Rolling Stones’ ‘Honky Tonk Women’, but don’t play it that often as people don’t dance to it much. Trust the scousers, they filled the floor to it!  Cheers guys!

Thanks again to Laura and Michael for booking us to play at their wedding.  It’s not too often that we get to only play for a load of scousers, but it was great to meet them both and all their mates.  They’ve no honeymoon plans at the minute, as they have a young baby.  Hopefully you’ll get away somewhere nice sometime soon guys!

Ah, cheers Michael! We weren’t sure if our bad scouser banter would be funny or not! Thanks again to Laura and yourself for booking us to play at your wedding, and also a big thanks for the fantastic review you left us on facebook – much appreciated! 🙂
