Kerryanne & Niall’s Wedding

We finished our week playing at Kerryanne and Niall’s wedding in the Wild Duck Inn on Saturday night – thanks to both of them for inviting us along. The Wild Duck was looking great inside as usual, plus Kerryanne and Niall had hired in a LED dance floor, which made it look even better!

Our never ending run of unusual blog titles continues! lol We had a quiet dance floor at the start of the disco, so we were trying a few different tunes to get our dancers back. We haven’t played Queen’s ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ in ages, and when we did it pulled a great crowd to the floor. So, cheers Freddie! (just in case you’re not a Queen fan, ‘Ready Freddie’ is a lyric in the song!). It is an unusual photo of Freddie, but you’ll understand why when you read about the honeymoon destination below!

Kerryanne and Niall both are big rock fans, and picked Sum 41’s ‘With Me’ for their first dance – which is a great tune, although their grannies’ mightn’t think so! lol As requested, we slotted quite a few rock tunes throughout the night. However, weddings are about family and friends, so we got the usual wide range of tunes played – everything from (surprisingly!) the Galway Girl for Kerryanne through to Enter Sandman for Niall! Sandman was the second last song that we played, and went down a storm. However, Kerryanne let the rockers down (lol), as she wanted Maniac 2000 for their last song! lol (as you would expect, the crowd loved it anyway!)

Thanks again to Kerryanne and Niall for booking us to play at their wedding. It was lovely to meet both of them, plus Niall is friendly with a couple of guys who we used to run into all the time when we played in the Corner House Bar in Randalstown – so it was great to catch up with them too! As Kerryanne and Niall have two young kids, they wanted to get them involved in the honeymoon too! So, they’re going to Legoland in Windsor, which should be fantastic! Have a great time guys!
