Rachel & Philip’s Wedding
We made our debut in the beautiful River Lodge at Glenarm Castle last night – thanks to Rachel and Philip for inviting us along to entertain their wedding guests. As mentioned, we’ve never been to Glenarm Castle before, and the grounds are absolutely stunning – definitely an amazing setting to have your wedding reception!
Our blog title comes from the really long driveway into the part of the estate where the River Lodge is. We’re not sure how long it is, but it’s the longest driveway that we’ve ever driven on – by far! We were playing in the circular marquee, and the staff had it looking fantastic!
Sometimes midweek weddings aren’t as lively as their weekend counterparts, and we had quieter dance floor than normal last night. However, the crowd were lovely, and clapping after every song – so it was like a concert! We also had loads of great comments from the guests, so they were definitely enjoying the music – which was great to hear! We didn’t get a chance to get an end of night photo, as we weren’t aware that Rachel and Philip were leaving early. Their guests formed a walkway for them shortly after midnight, and away they went! It’s pity we hadn’t known, or we could have taken the end of night photo earlier! lol
Thanks again to Rachel and Philip for booking us to play at their wedding – it was great to meet both of them. They’ve picked a less obvious honeymoon destination, as they’re going to Croatia. However, after checking the Lonely Planet website, it looks absolutely fantastic – just check out the pic above! Have a great time guys!
