Emma & Clifford’s Wedding
We started our week in the Bushtown Hotel at Emma and Clifford’s wedding last night – thanks to both of them for inviting us along. The place was looking great, and on the ball as usual. Kevin and the rest of the Bushtown staff weren’t messing about – the room was cleared when we arrived, and they were just starting to clear the stage for us! Great, we were able to get setup straightaway!
Our blog title is inspired by Emma and Clifford’s first two dances, and the fact that Emma is a massive Supernatural fan! ‘The road so far’ is the opening line of every episode, so we thought it would make a good title! It’s a great show too if you’ve never watched – if you like horror flicks with a bit of humour, then it’ll be right up your street!
After the bridal dance, which was Kansas’ amazing ‘Carry On Wayward Son’, we got started and the crowd filled the floor straightaway! 🙂 Emma is from Warrington, and had loads of friends and family over from there and Wales – they sure know how to party! Apart from the odd quiet song, they never left the floor all night! The locals danced great too, and it felt more like a Saturday than a Wednesday night!
Thanks again to Emma and Clifford for booking us to play at their wedding. It was great to meet them both, plus we were also chatting to Emma’s Mum and Dad (Wendy and Steven), who were full of the craic too! They’re not going on honeymoon until next January, but they’ve picked a great place to go – Iceland! It’s something else to look forward to – have a brilliant time guys!
