Clare & David’s Wedding

We were back in the Manor House Country Hotel at Clare and David’s wedding – thanks to both of them for inviting us along. Clare was wearing a stunning dress, and definitely looked every bit the beautiful bride – she definitely stole the limelight! As usual, the Manor was looking great, and the room was dressed perfectly to suit the crowd.

This blog title comes courtesy of Clare and David’s choice of first dance. They picked Sturgill Simpson’s ‘The Promise’. We’d never heard it before, and it’s a brilliant song – great choice guys! Next, they’d picked Journey’s ‘Faithfully’ for the bridal party dance – which is another brilliant song! After that, we started with The Gambler, which didn’t get us any dancers! 🙁 So, we quickly stopped it after the first chorus, and asked for requests. The bridesmaids shouted ‘Galway Girl’, which we played and it filled the floor – cheers ladies!

The crowd kept us on our toes in the early part of the night, as most groups of dancers only danced for a couple of songs at a time, and we had to scratch our heads a few times to figure out what would get them back. However, as the night went on, things really revved up, and the place was bouncing! Fair play to the crowd, there was no more scratching our heads once they got going! lol It was no surprise that Maniac 2000 was one of the big hits of the night, so much so that Clare asked us to play it as an encore, which filled the floor yet again! It’s always great to hit the stage again to a full dance floor, and last night was no exception – cheers guys!

Thanks again to Clare and David for booking us to play at their wedding – it was great to meet both of them. We’d also like to wish them well on their honeymoon travels. They’re going to the fantastic Cancún, which is sure to be brilliant. We’ve spoken to a lot of couples that have went to Mexico, and they always rave about how fantastic it is – have a great time guys!
