Katherine & Ryan’s Wedding
We played at our fifth and final wedding of the week on Saturday night, and rounded things off in one of our favourite wedding venues – the stunning Roe Park Resort in Limavady! We were lucky enough to end the week with another lovely couple, so thanks to Katherine and Ryan for inviting us along to play a few songs. As usual the Roe Park Suite was dressed to perfection, plus Diane and the rest of the staff had everything running bang on time.
We ran into Catherine and Charlene from Catherine Comer Photography again tonight. Great to see the ladies again, they’re always full of fun and keep us in a bit of banter. They also do an amazing job, and capture some beautiful shots of the wedding. We definitely would highly recommend them if you’re looking for some memorable wedding photos! Katherine (as in the Bride!) was wearing a stunning dress, with loads of sparkly bling (we don’t know the technical term! lol), and we’re sure Catherine and Charlene were going to use all that bling for a really cool first dance photo! As mentioned earlier in this post, it was our fifth and final wedding of the week, and actually our sixth wedding in eight days! It’s always nice to get to the end of a busy week and get the feet up for a couple of days (we couldn’t think of a better title, so apologies for the finish line pic!). It’s great to be so busy, and we’re very thankful to have so many amazing couple book us – so we’re definitely not complaining! Saturday continued the week’s theme of slow starters! However, once the video camera was gone, it didn’t take long for the crowd to get going, and they filled the floor until the end of the night 🙂 However, even though it was a bit quiet on the dance floor for the first 45 – 60 minutes, the crowd were great craic and we had plenty of requests. To our surprise (and maybe horror! lol) it took a request for Nathan Carter to fill the floor! lol
Thanks again to Katherine and Ryan for booking us to play at their wedding. It was great to meet them both, and a brilliant way to end our run of Easter weddings. They’re in the finishing stages of building a house, so are leaving their proper honeymoon until later in the year. However, they were going to Galgorm Resort yesterday for a night, and are going to the stunning Lough Eske Castle in Donegal tomorrow to stay for a couple of nights. Have a great time guys!
