Sarah & Joseph’s Wedding
We had our third wedding of the week last night in the stunning Orange Tree House in Greyabbey – thanks to Sarah and Joseph for inviting us along to play a few tunes. If you haven’t heard of the Orange Tree House, then it should be on your shortlist if you’re planning a wedding reception in the Strangford Lough / Newtownards area (or even if you hadn’t though of this area! lol). It’s a beautiful venue inside and out, and is backed by delicious in house catering and fantastic service! Thanks to Jan and Barry for making us feel so welcome, and also to Jan for getting us a tea and coffee while we were waiting to set up!
Our blog title comes courtesy of the Orange Tree House’s really funky and retro Rocket trailer! It looks really awesome, and adds another element of coolness to an already really cool venue! One we got the first dance underway, a load of people joined Sarah and Joseph on the floor! :) However, we lost the majority of them after a few songs :( There was a brilliant caricaturist out in the Orangerie, and everyone wanted their pic drawn! Unfortunately it left things quieter with us for a while, but thankfully things soon livened up again, and we had the floor buzzing right through until the last song! :)
Thanks again to Sarah and Joseph for booking us to play at their wedding. It was great to meet them both, and they’re such a lovely couple. They’re not taking their honeymoon break just yet, but are going down South for a few days to chill out. However, they’re hoping to get to Canada in the Summer, which looks like an amazing place to visit! Hopefully that all works out – have a great time wherever you go guys!
